Mason County Lakes
Mason County has over 200 lakes, some of them not even named yet! You'll find that all of the lakes in Mason County are beautifully maintained and provide a natural habitat for local wildlife, including the bald eagle.
Use this link Lakes of Mason County, for more Information about what fish species you're likely to find in each lake, as well as water depth, use of boat motors, etc.
When fishing season opens, many locals are up before the crack of dawn, a cup of hot coffee in one hand and fishing pole in the other while enjoying the sights and sounds of early morning on the lake. If the luck holds, they'll end the day with a full limit of trout or bass and the memory of a bald eagle flying overhead as the sun rises.
Hood Canal Salmon
The Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group is funded by government grants, contributions from local community members and businesses, and individual donations. It is one of fourteen regional salmon enhancement groups in Washington state, and works continuously to encourage a healthy ecosystem for Hood Canal and it's streams.
